Template talk:Cite web
From wikiCHA
We need the parser function extension to continue developing this template.
Goal: We want a single template that can be used for all web citations.
Problem: Without the help of the #if function, citations missing certain pieces of information (say, the author's name) will display a mess of punctuation (example, ", " where it should be "lastname, firstname") instead of displaying nothing.
Solutions:
- We can format each citation by hand, or
- If we can use #if functions, we can create a template that will only display citation bits related to the inputted information.
parser and wikipedia citing templates
