| da hong pao = a Wu Yi oolong, literally 'Big Red Robe' (大红袍 or 大紅袍), canonically one of the rarest of all teas, grown from several shrubs on a cliff and fairly heavily oxidized and roasted. By extension, DHP can also mean any tea supposedly made from that cultivar, even a Taiwan-style oolong made from bushes grown in Thailand. See also, Yancha

| bei dou = a Wu Yi oolong, literally 'North Star' (北斗 or 北鬥), the #1 is intended to indicate that it is a 1st generation cutting from da hong pao. Sometimes referred to as 'the Big Dipper'. Expect to find many of the characteristics of da hong pao, especially the nearer it is grown to the centre of Wuyi Shan. Sometimes called Bei Dou Yi Hao (北斗一号 or 北鬥一號). See also, Yancha
